Quality

A high-quality food such as chia seeds should remain high-quality until it reaches the consumer: and we strive to sell only top quality chia to our customers. This is why we exercise the utmost care and control over every stage of purchasing and handling in order to meet this demand regularly and permanently.

Selection of suppliers

Before entering into a business relationship with suppliers, we subject them and their production to a thorough examination. Through an audit procedure, we assure ourselves of the company’s basic standards in the procurement and processing of the chia seeds.

For example, we only work with suppliers who exclusively process chia seeds in their chia production area. This ensures that the seeds are gluten free and have not been cross-contaminated with allergenic foreign substances.

We screen in-house testing and inspection processes to be sure that the quality of the chia seeds remains unchanged and consistently high from the moment they enter the factory until they are dispatched.

We regularly conduct on-site audits.

In this way, we have built up a lasting and trusting relationship with several suppliers. Up until a few years ago, chia was still completely new, not only for us but also for many producers. Working together with the suppliers, we have learned a lot about how to handle chia seeds and gained valuable knowledge, which we use today to benefit the quality of these precious seeds.

Analyses

For each batch of chia seeds, whether conventional or organic, an analysis is first carried out in an EU-accredited and certified laboratory in Europe. Only when the analysis proves that the chia seeds are flawless, uncontaminated by pollutants and meet the standard of the nutritional values for chia seeds, is the container shipped to Europe.

Storage

The warehouses we work with all operate under organic standards and some of them are IFS certified. Delivery, storage and dispatch are all regularly checked.
